How to spot a genuine Black Friday deal
- Ignore the "was" price on its own. Check what the item actually sold for over the last few months. We show you the lowest price we've seen on every deal.
- Check the date. Prices move quickly over Black Friday weekend. Every Swiper deal shows when we last checked it.
- Compare retailers. The same product is often cheaper elsewhere. We list the best genuine price we've found.
- Know your rights. Buying online from a UK retailer, you usually have 14 days to cancel after delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
- Factor in delivery. A low price with a high delivery charge isn't always the best deal.
Black Friday is the day after US Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday follows on the Monday after. Many UK retailers run offers across the whole of November, and some run until early December.
